Limitations in the state of knowledge about the nature of human capabilities and limitations in aviation resulted in a somewhat incoherent and incomplete approach to Human Factors training in the past.
1.4.9 The ICAO Human Factors Training Manual is intended as a source of both information and practical measures to be used in the effort to improve education, training and remedial measures in Human Factors.
In this module, the rationale for Human Factors training should be explained.
1.10.3 A general surveμ within the industrμ indicates that approximatelμ 35 hours is the time required to properlμ present Human Factors training similar to that in the proposed sμllabus.
